Term 3 has been different, new, exciting, privileged and full of fun. The fact that I get to write this and detail all of the things we have done in the Junior School this term reminds us of how lucky we are that we have been able to have a relatively normal Term 3.

We all feel for the students in Victoria who are having to interact over screens, where we are able to be back on campus and enjoy school with our friends.

One of the greatest blessings this term was the ability to recommence competitive school sport, and the Junior School has had another successful year on the sporting field. This culminated in the Intercols which saw victories by the Year 6 Soccer and Hockey teams.

Internally we were able run the Winter House Games, House Singing, and the Junior School Swing Band joined Senior School students for an inspiring night of music in Memorial Hall for Jazz @ Mem Hall.

Life is not entirely normal yet but when we compare our experiences and opportunities to other parts of the world, we can appreciate that Term 3 has been great. I know everyone is now looking forward to the holidays and that Term 4 is lining up to be another fantastic term especially with a postponed Athletics Day and with all of the camps – adapted from the usual but still going ahead. It’s a good reminder that we all really should make the most of our time here at St Peter’s College.
