The past two weeks have been incredibly eventful, with each member of our community stepping up as we all move toward bigger milestones. As the Year 12 exams are in full swing, we want to extend our best wishes to all boys tackling their final assessments. We know that the hard work and dedication you’ve put into your studies will serve you well, and we’re behind you every step of the way.

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Mr Tim Jarvis AM to our school as part of the Rex J Lipman Program. Tim, an environmental scientist and adventurer, shared insights from his awe-inspiring recreation of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Antarctic survival journey. His visit included not only a presentation to our school at muster and a session for the youngers boys but also a smaller intimate session with a small group, where he answered some challenging questions. This opportunity to engage with Tim on a more personal level inspired all of us, especially the young men in our community, to think about how we can contribute meaningfully to the wider world. His courage and commitment to the environment left a lasting impression, reminding us of the power of resilience and the importance of giving back.

On that note, we’re excited to officially announce this year’s Christmas Hamper Drive in support of Anglicare SA. Thanks to the dedication of our Service Coordinator, Ms Day, this initiative will allow us to extend our support to families in need over the holiday season. In the Senior School, boys from Years 9 to 11 will participate in a Captains Cup challenge, where each mentor group competes to create the most hampers. For boys in Year 8 and below, mentors and classroom groups will work together on expanding their knowledge behind the meaning of service in order to help inspire their contributions.

This is a wonderful chance for us to show gratitude for the community we are part of and share the joy of the season with others. All details regarding the Christmas Hamper Drive have been shared across the School, and we encourage everyone to stay tuned for updates on our social media and the school’s platforms.
