On Wednesday 24 October, the German Society held its second lunchtime meeting. As Year 9 students were away on School camp and a number of Year 10s were in Darwin at an extension group activity, numbers were slightly lower than usual. In the end this provided a great opportunity to get to know one another better during interactive activities.
Committee members planned some exciting activities for members, including a quiz about German culture, background and language. Prizes were awarded which seemed to be a favourite!
The committee also asked members their advice and thoughts about future society activities. Ideas included entering competitions, watching German videos and planning a European handball game. We look forward to introducing some of these ideas soon.
Overall, the meeting was another success, and we look forward to next time!
