During Terms 3 and 4, myself and four other Year 8 students, had the incredible opportunity to represent the School in the Student Exchange Program with Hale School in Perth.
As part of the exchange, our families hosted visiting Hale students and in return, their families warmly welcomed and cared for us during our stay. This experience offered us the chance to reflect on the similarities and differences between our schools, particularly in education, values and culture. It also allowed us to form lasting friendships with the students at Hale School.
A big highlight for all of us was the combined Exchange Dinner and going to the Year 12 Valedictory Assembly. Both events helped us get to know our exchange partners better and meet more students from the Hale School community.
We are grateful for all the support from both Hale School and St Peter’s College, and for how welcoming the Hale students and their families were. It was a fantastic experience and everyone who took part thoroughly enjoyed it.
