The HAS Foundation supports the families of children living with life-limiting conditions to make the most of their precious time together. The Foundation supports them in creating moments of fun and laughter in the midst of their troubles to create beautiful, lifelong memories of a love that will never fade.
Boys from the Open First Water Polo squad are aiming to raise as much money as possible to donate to the HAS foundation. Not many boys at St Peter’s College understand the hardships that many families go through when a family member is diagnosed with a terminal illness and requires palliative care. The HAS Foundation aims to help these families by providing them palliative care away from the busy, in-your-face nature of city life. This is why we believe the HAS Foundation is a perfect fundraiser to support.
On Sunday 28 March during the Intercol Cricket match, 16 boys from the Open First Water Polo squad will swim at their own pace from 10:30am to 2:00pm in the Burchnall Sports Centre, trying to swim as far as possible. During this time there will be a barbeque out the front of the Sports Centre where you will be able to purchase bacon and eggs with all proceeds going to the HAS Foundation.
If you would like to donate to this great cause, please click here then select the student you would like to donate to. This will take you to a GoFundMe page where you can make your donation.
If you would like to sponsor a student, please feel free to email such boy. Sponsoring can include donating a specified amount of money for a certain distance swam on the day, for example you could donate $5 for every 100metres your student swims.
We appreciate your support!
