Find out information on accessing your family’s Immunisation History Statements from the Australian Immunisation Register by viewing the flyer here.
There are two parts to the flyer which in summary provide the following information:
- Students/parents are encouraged to check their History Statement to identify if the student has missed any vaccine doses either in preschool years or those administered in Years 8 and 10 as part of the School Program.
- Information and guidance is provided on how to access AIR and who can access this information.
- Should any vaccines be identified as ‘due’, Eastern Health Authority can assist students to catch up missed doses by using the free under 20 year old catch up program.
Although it is recommended for all students to check their status, it is a timely reminder for Year 12 students who will soon be leaving the school system to ensure their immunisation status is up to date. Besides ensuring students have peace of mind of protection, it can potentially alleviate any delays in tertiary placements and personal cost once the student has turned 20.
