Congratulations to Julian Soong-Kroeger (Year 11) , who was awarded the Inspire Pitch Award at the City of Unley’s 2026 Fish Tank entrepreneurship competition.
Fish Tank gives young entrepreneurs aged 8 to 17 the opportunity to develop and pitch their business ideas, with 16 finalists presenting at Unley Town Hall as part of this year’s Pitch Night.
Julian impressed the judges with Kroeger Suave, an idea that builds on his existing barber business by introducing a home maintenance kit designed to help clients maintain their hair between appointments.
As winner of the Inspire Pitch Award, Julian received $300 in seed funding as well as business mentoring sessions valued at $700, giving him the opportunity to continue developing the concept and exploring where the business could go next.
During Marc Randolph’s visit last week, Julian had the opportunity to speak with Marc about Kroeger Suave and hear his advice on developing ideas through experimentation, feedback and a willingness to keep trying. It was a timely conversation as Julian continues to develop his business and consider where the idea could take him next.
