Celebrating Success: SPSC Junior School Boys Shine in the 2025 International Chinese Bridge Language Competition
On the 14th of June, at the Plane Tree Centre in Adelaide Zoo, the 2025 International Chinese Bridge Language Competition Final Showcase was held. Year 4 students Kush Jasoria and Kabir Jasoria from St Peter’s College Junior School represented all second language learners of Chinese from our Junior School and won third prize in this global event for the South Australia region.
More than 30 students from 17 South Australian primary schools participated in the competition, with 12 students making it to the final. It was a fantastic opportunity for advanced second language learners to showcase their passion and talent for Chinese. Kush and Kabir delivered a five-minute storytelling performance all in Chinese about the well-known pandas Huahua and Menglan, followed by a lovely panda-themed song that truly touched the audience and judges.
We are incredibly proud of Kush and Kabir and all other participants. It is no small feat to speak another language—let alone perform in it in front of a crowd at a global competition.
Congratulations to Kush and Kabir for their prize and for the dedication they’ve shown over the years in learning Chinese language and culture.
