As Term 4 rolls around there’s a tangible buzz in the library, because students know that Games Week can’t be far away and that means it’s time for the SPSC Mario Kart Championship.

Last week the Miller Library was thrumming with noise and activity as students cheered on their classmates in Mario Kart, annihilated their opponents in Uno, and developed their critical thinking skills with a whole host of new board and card games.

Students also competed in thrilling minute-to-win-it games which tested their skills at bottle-flipping, cup stacking and balloon races.

On the Friday the grand-final of the SPSC Mario Kart Championship was held. It was a close race between Andrew Lucas (Yr 9 HWD) and Isaac Downes (Yr 9 HWD) with Isaac taking the trophy. This is the second win for Isaac who was the Champion in 2023.

It was great to see students from all year levels coming together during Games Week and the games can continue with our new board and card games available in the library during lunch and recess all year round.
