St Peter’s College proudly hosted a heartwarming International Student Connection Evening in collaboration with St Peter’s Girls’ School. The event brought together students from both schools for an enriching cultural exchange and social experience designed to foster friendships, celebrate diversity and strengthen community ties.
The evening began with a warm welcome as students arrived with anticipation and curiosity. The atmosphere quickly filled with laughter and conversation as students began to connect across schools and cultures.
Participants rotated through two engaging activities. One group explored the beauty and artistry of Chinese characters in a Chinese Art Workshop (汉字美育), where they practiced brushwork and appreciated the cultural meaning behind traditional writing forms. The other group took part in Speed “Friending”, a light-hearted activity designed to break the ice and spark fun conversations.
Paired with Kahoot quizzes and classic board games, it created a relaxed space for students to bond and discover shared interests. After enjoying these activities, everyone gathered for a shared meal in the Da Costa Dining Hall, continuing their conversations and making new friends over dinner. To ensure a complete experience, the two groups later switched activities.
The evening concluded with student speeches from Axel and Jerrie, who shared reflections on connection, gratitude and cultural exchange. A final group photo captured the spirit of unity and celebration. The event was a meaningful reminder of the power of connection across communities, leaving everyone with warm memories and new friendships.
