This coming Monday, the Senior School Art Faculty and current Art & Design students will be joined by local illustrator, Billie Justice Thomson. Known for her quirky paintings and drawings that explore nostalgia, kitsch, and everyday objects, Billie’s work often features iconic Australian imagery, food, and drinks.
During her time with us, Billie will work with Year 9 Art, Year 9 Design and Year 11 Design classes, assisting students in the creation of their own sticker designs which express a personal narrative. Students who are not in these classes are also given the opportunity to work with Billie, via the “Group Project” which occurs at lunctimes in the Art Building, from 12 – 28 February. We look forward to welcoming Billie, and seeing what our students produce in response to her residency.
