Tim Browning, Headmaster and Patron of Mission Guild warmly invites current and prospective members to drinks and canapés in his study on Thursday 13 February. Hear about Tim’s vision for the Mission Guild and speak with current members about how you can get involved.

The St Peter’s College Mission Guild, founded in 1923, has a long history of service to the School and the wider community and today raises in excess of $30,000 each year for Anglican charities to help those in our community most at need. These include St John’s Youth Services, Magdalene Centre, Elizabeth Mission, Outer Southern Hub and Christies Beach Emergency Relief. In 2019, the Mission Guild also supported the Star Bear Program which supports grieving children and young people through the debilitating fear and loss experienced after losing a sibling, parent or other significant person in their lives.

Members of the Mission Guild raise funds through a number of initiatives and activities including the Mission Guild Recycled Uniform Shop and Pop-Up Stalls which collectively raise $20,000 each year. Other initiatives include an annual High Tea and Movie Night. The Mission Guild also facilitates and supports Service Learning within the School with students given the opportunity to prepare meals for the homeless at the Magdalene Centre. Students and families are also encouraged to assist those less fortunate through the Mission Guild Christmas Hamper Appeal.
