This past Tuesday evening the IPSHA Junior Orator Competition was held at Prince Alfred College.

St Peter’s College student’s William Harper (Year 6) and Anay Mittal (Year 5) proudly represented our School.

William Harper delivered an emotionally poignant speech on ‘What it takes to be great footballer.’ He surprised the audience with his unique look at courage in the face of adversity, using Eddie Betts as his inspiration. He spoke about how Eddie couldn’t read his first football contract and how his courage in the face of adversity has enabled him to become a champion for children’s literacy across Australia.

Anay Mittal’s speech bubbled with imagery as he convinced the audience to all become vegetarians.

Both boys did a fantastic job and deserve a big congratulations for their participation in this annual event.
