Parkrun is a weekly 5km event where people run, walk, jog and volunteer every Saturday morning. It is an inclusive event, supporting all cultures and people, bringing together people who all love to exercise. It is a great way to make new friends, get fit and be part of an amazing community.

On Saturday the 15 April (Week 1 of holidays), I am directing this event with some friends helping in various volunteer roles. We will be running most of the volunteer group, which is responsible for the event to run smoothly and efficiently each week.

The course takes place along the River Torrens, and the starting point is near the Par 3 Café just off War Memorial Drive. I have been volunteering at Parkrun for two years, and I have to say it is one of the highlights of each week. Come on down at 8am on a lovely Saturday morning to experience the terrific Parkrun atmosphere, where you can run, walk or jog the course, or just pop by. We’ve all been wanting to start some exercise on our Saturday mornings, so why not start at Parkrun? Please wear your SPSC Sports uniform to represent the School along with the SPSC volunteers.
