The weather was definitely in our favour for the annual Palm House Sports Day held last Friday. This year was a special one as it was the first time that we had our young Prep boys involved. It was fantastic to see all of the Junior Primary boys competing in their House tops and it was great to see so many parents attend to support the boys.
The boys participated in a number of events, which used the skills that they had been working on during their PE lessons.
We had our Junior School leaders from Year 6, which include our House Captains, as well as our Sports Captain and Junior School Captain and Vice Captain, help run the day and they did a fantastic job, showing why they have been given the responsibility of leadership this year.
All of the Junior Primary boys are to be congratulated for their efforts throughout the day. They all displayed fantastic sportsmanship in each of the events that they participated in.
I would like to thank Mr Proctor and Mr Cini for their help in preparing the boys for the event. I would also like to thank the Palm House Staff for their involvement to ensure the day ran smoothly.
Once again I would like to thank the Groundsmen for their efforts in ensuring that Palm House Oval was in pristine condition for the big day.
