Despite some initial concern around the weather, it was fantastic to be able to hold our annual Reception to Year 2 Sports Day on Palm House Oval, on Friday of Week 3.
For the first time our youngest students competed for their House, wearing their new House shirts.
The boys participated in a number of events, using skills they had been working on during their PE lessons. It was great to see so many parents in attendance to support the boys.
With our Year 6 leaders on camp, we called on some of our Year 5 boys to step in and help run all of the events. The Year 5 boys did a fantastic job, showing that they are future leaders within our School.
All the Junior Primary boys are to be congratulated for their efforts throughout the day. They all displayed fantastic sportsmanship in each of the events they participated in.
I would like to thank Mr Athanasiou and Mr Cini for their help in preparing the boys for the event. I would also like to thank the Palm House Staff for their involvement to ensure the day ran smoothly.
Once again I would like to thank the Groundsmen for their efforts in ensuring Palm House Oval was in pristine condition for the big day.
