The final event on the inter-school cross country calendar each year is the State Relay Championships. This was held recently at Waite with six teams, made up of four boys per team, representing the Junior School.

With the rain commencing almost in unison with the start of the event, our teams braved the conditions, and with the support of parents and fellow team members, each boy completed their 2km leg before passing the baton to the next runner.

Each boy gave it their all with all teams finishing inside the top 11. Congratulations to our fastest team who came first place overall, completing the 8kms in just on 31 minutes. This is a truly amazing result given that two of the boys are only in Year 4.

Congratulations go to Gustaw Czechowicz (Year 4) who completed his 2km leg in 8:37, Oliver Maung (Year 4) in 8:31, Thomas Grosser (Year 6) in 8:22 and Jonathan Harris (Year 7) in 7:32.

Ms Moore and I look forward to seeing the students back for Cross Country in 2019.
