On a glorious late autumn morning, the St Peter’s College Junior School community gathered on Girdlestone Oval for the much-anticipated Annual House Cross Country event. With enthusiasm high and the sun shining, all boys from Prep to Year 6 took to the track, eager to represent their House and embrace the joy of running.

The event offered a scenic yet challenging course around the stunning Junior School grounds, with older students venturing beyond the oval to tackle the hills of the Secret Garden and the expansive flats of Palm House, the Avenues, and Girdlestone Oval.

The Years 3 to 6 boys set the tone early, with competitors in the older age groups braving a demanding 3km course. There were plenty of smiles, some grit and determination, and a strong sense of friendly rivalry as the boys vied for valuable House points.
