Book Swap – Week 4
The library leaders and library committee are holding a book swap event in Week 4 (4-8 November). From Monday 4 November to Friday 8 November, boys are able to drop off books from their personal collection (up to five books) that they no longer want to the library. Boys will be allocated colour coded tickets according to level (Junior, Middle, Upper) for each book they bring in. The tickets will remain with the library staff until book swap day. Friday is book swap day; the boys will be issued with their tickets and will be able to select books according to their colour coded tickets. This will ensure that boys are swapping like for like. For example, if they bring in five Junior books then they will have tickets that will only allow them to select from the Junior book tables. Please ensure that books are in excellent condition.
Save the Date – Week 6 and 7– Christmas Cooking Display
The Junior School Library is going to become a foodie delight and source of Christmas cooking inspiration during Weeks 6 and 7. We are putting together a Saints showcase of Christmas treats and need your help. Think gingerbread houses, biscuits, mince pies, shortbread, edible Christmas trees, cookies, Christmas cakes. If there is something amazing that you create as a Christmas treat we would love you to enter it into our Christmas showcase. We will be sending more details as the event approaches.
Borrowing for Term 4
Borrowing this term will cease on Tuesday 19 November. All books are due back to the library on Friday the 22 November. It is always wonderful to see the numbers of families that support us in getting books returned by this deadline. We are always amazed at how few books we have to chase up at the end of the year as most families meet this deadline.
