At the end of Term 2, the Junior School’s Annual Winter House Games was held. It was a fantastic day for all the boys in Years 3-6. Despite being greeted with a very cold day, all boys showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, both on and off the field, throughout the day.

The Junior School House Leaders carefully placed the boys in Years 4-6 in the sport in which they represent the School. Some boys however, were asked to play a different sport and are to be commended for doing so without fuss. The Year 3 boys were introduced to their first Winter House Games by playing soccer.

Throughout the day the boys represented their Houses with pride and House spirits were high. The competition was fierce and at the end of the day the results were close. Overall, Brooks House won the trifecta in the basketball, hockey and soccer tournaments and Stokes-Ware won the football tournament.

The Winter House Games would not have been possible without the assistance of all staff and also the Senior School boys, who gave up their time to umpire matches and did an outstanding job. It meant a lot to the Junior School boys to have some of our School leaders present.

A special thank you also goes to the grounds staff for marking all of the playing fields and the Junior School Friends of Saints for providing a BBQ for all of the boys.
