Shut Up is a short, sharp, and shiny play written by Andrew Payne about a troubled teenager who decides to stop talking. Dexter, played by Year 8 student Nick Robertson, opts for silence, and in doing so becomes more “eloquent than any of the babble that surrounds him”. A quirky assortment of characters attempt to coax him from his muted demeanour; well-meaning Mum (Joey Fitzgerald), gruff Dad (Yash Bhattacharjya), eager Tats (Charlie Tonkin) and the ever elusive Johnny Smith (John Lucas).

Rehearsals are well underway, and our enthusiastic Year 8 and 9 students are keen to share the 2022 Junior Play with you all!

Production Dates: Wednesday 23 November and Thursday 24 November
