The Keys Award, the School’s highest honour for achievement in co-curricular activities, is awarded for excellence in performance and attitude in a particular field. In 2024 the following students were recipients of the Keys Award.

Bryce Hammond has excelled in Hockey at school, state and national levels. He represented SA in U15, U16, U18 and U21 teams, twice being named National Player of the Tournament. In 2024, he joined the Olympic 2032 Target Squad, secured a SASI scholarship, and played for the Adelaide Fire in the National Hockey League. As 1st XI Captain, Bryce has inspired his peers through his performance and leadership.

Noah Latimer has great success in Cricket at school, state and national levels. He represented SA in Indoor Cricket U13, U15, U18, and U22 teams, earning Australian U18 All-Star selection in 2022. He scored over 1,000 runs in each of the past three seasons for SPSC and was named SAAS Div 1 Player of the Season with an average of 51.38 and 16 wickets. Captain of the SPSC 1st XI, Noah has been an outstanding leader and inspirational influence on his peers.

Jett Hasting’s football talent and leadership have seen him represent the state at U16 and U18 levels and earn the Gosse Medal for Best and Fairest player in the SAAS Competition as a Year 11. In 2024, he captained the SANFL U18 Eagles to a premiership, earning Best on Ground in the final, and was invited to the AFL State Combine. Playing in the 1st XVIII for four seasons, Jett led with humility and respect as Captain in his final year.

Gman Paye has consistently demonstrated excellence in Athletics, earning state and national medals. Key achievements include gold in the U18 400m at the 2023 Australian All Schools Athletics Championships and silver in the U17 200m and 400m at the 2022 Australian Track and Field Championships. Gman’s dedication on the track and positive example have inspired boys to pursue their athletic potential.

Johnny Turner has excelled as a musician and has shown outstanding leadership across numerous school ensembles and choirs. A three-time GiJ Div 1 Superband Lead Alto Sax member, two-time ABODA Don Burrows Best Soloist Award winner and GiJ Future Finalist Award nominee, Johnny’s performances – both solo and in ensembles – have left a lasting impression on the school and broader community.
