Last week Year 4 boys participated in the Lab On Legs program in the Junior School science room as part of their studies in chemical sciences. The program was designed to provide boys with an opportunity to explore the properties of natural and processed materials, through a range of hands-on experiments.
These included conductors and insulators, magnetic and non-magnetic materials, making electricity and absorption. The boys worked cooperatively in pairs and were encouraged to pose questions, investigate, measure, make observations and record and interpret data. They demonstrated the character strengths of zest and curiosity and enjoyed the experiments presented in the Lab On Legs Science program.
