Each year, students of French at St Peter’s College participate in a statewide French Poetry Competition organised by the South Australian French Teachers’ Association (SAFTA). Students are given a set poem appropriate to their year level and are encouraged to learn it by heart and recite it aloud.
The boys always work diligently to master their poems, and teachers submit a small selection of recordings for judging.
Once again, our students have achieved excellent results, with four Junior School boys placing second in their respective categories. Congratulations to:
- Barney Binette (RA)
- Dimitris Psaltis (Year 2)
- Noah Nuthall (Year 3)
- Abraham Lee (Year 6)
Bravo! The boys have been invited to attend the SAFTA/Alliance Française Prize Giving Ceremony in Memorial Hall on Thursday 6 November.
