Please join us on Friday 31 August for a special lunchtime organ recital by Alana Brook, current Organ Scholar at Ripon Cathedral in the UK and former Organ Scholar of St Peter’s Cathedral, Adelaide. The St Peter’s College Combined Choir, directed by Andrew Chatterton will also perform.
A unique opportunity to hear one of Australia’s emerging organists perform on the historic Chapel organ. Installed in 1877, the organ is thought to be one the oldest instruments in South Australia and was originally purchased from the famous London organ builder Bishop and Son. In 2015 the organ underwent a process of restoration and enhancement with the installation of a new rank of pipes and a digital registration system.
