On Thursday 17 September, our Junior School celebrated the annual Mission Day, led by our Year 6 students.

The event marked the culmination of a term of entrepreneurial learning, during which students developed business ideas and planned goods or services to sell at their market stalls. As part of the process, students pitched their ideas to teachers and classmates in a ‘Shark Tank’ style presentation. Throughout the term-long project, students managed budgets, considered sustainability and learnt what it takes to work collaboratively as a team towards a shared goal.

On Mission Day, the Junior School buzzed with excitement as 37 stalls came to life, offering everything from slushies and popcorn to 3D-printed fidget toys, raffles and soccer accuracy challenges. Together, the Year 6 students raised an impressive $7,256 for Anglicare SA programs, including Emergency Assistance, Thread Together and Star Bear.

Congratulations to our Year 6 students on their hard work and enthusiasm and thank you to our Junior School community for supporting Mission Day so generously.
