We are incredibly proud of Yongen Song (Year 11), who represented South Australia at the U18 National Ice Hockey Championships in Perth from 14–20 July 2025. Team SA had an outstanding tournament, claiming the national silver medal after finishing 4th in the round robin stage, with two wins against WA and ACT. As one of the team’s Assistant Captains, Yongen played a pivotal role in their success. In the semi-final, SA faced top-ranked Victoria, who were undefeated in the tournament.
In a thrilling match, SA triumphed 2–1, with Yongen scoring the game-winning goal with just over a minute left on the clock, securing their place in the gold medal game. Congratulations, Yongen, on your leadership, skill, and contribution to your team’s success!
