During the recent school holidays, SPSC students competed in the Athletics Australia National Track and Field Championships (the Under 20 age group competed early April). In attendance were Australia’s best athletes competing across the diverse range of disciplines that Track and Field offers.
Seven SPSC athletes represented South Australia. In support of our athletes, four of our coaches attended the Championships, Lio Ferrante, Jess Pascoe, Rob Melin and Adam Didyk. One of our coaches, Fox Obst attended competing in the Open Shot Put.

* Lawson Jones | Qualified for Nationals but chose to forgo these Championships and instead travelled to the US for Track and Field competitions. On tour he achieved a new Personal Best Pole Vault jump of 4:10m. |
* Please note some placings have been adjusted from the order across the finish line in recognition of participating international athletes.
Working their way through State Championships to qualify for these Championships was a challenge. For the boys to take the opportunity to travel and gain experience at National level is a great achievement. All seven are to be commended on their thorough preparation and how they conducted themselves once at the Championships.
