It is not just the buildings or traditions it is the people who care, contribute and connect. A strong school community is built on shared values, a spirit of generosity and a willingness to support one another. Our volunteers play an essential role in this, giving their time and energy to help make our School the vibrant place it is.
This National Volunteers Week, we recognise and thank the many individuals who give their time so generously to enrich our community.
From the branches of the Foundation, the Friends of Saints committees, the Mission Guild, Friends of Music and Sport, and the Friends of the Chapel, to our old scholars and those who serve on governing boards. To our class reps and classroom helpers, volunteers play an essential role in building connection, supporting students and creating opportunities for others.
Whether you’re helping at a sausage sizzle, organising events, hosting a Bottle & Plate evening, preparing meals, working in the recycled uniform shop, raising funds, guiding strategy or mentoring students, your contribution is felt, appreciated and deeply valued. You help make our school not just a place of learning, but a place of belonging.
To every volunteer, past and present, thank you. Your generosity, energy and kindness continue to shape the culture we are all so proud of. Volunteering doesn’t just support the community, it strengthens it. It brings people together, creates purpose and builds friendships.
If you’d like to get more involved through volunteering, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us at community@stpeters.sa.edu.au.
