New Deputy Headmaster and Head of Senior School, Mr Marcus Blackburn

I am delighted to announce that Mr Marcus Blackburn has been appointed Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School.

Marcus will be relocating from the UK where he is currently Boarding Housemaster at Bradfield College, one of the UK’s leading boarding schools. Marcus was previously Assistant Head at Hereford Cathedral School, and has held leadership positions at King’s College School in London, The Scots College in Sydney and Raffles Institution in Singapore.

As a Drama and English graduate, Marcus has led pastoral, academic and co-curricular programs in independent boys’ schools for over 20 years. Marcus has a particular passion for the holistic education of every child through the integration of academic and co-curricular programs to achieve personal wellbeing and growth.

Marcus will start at St Peter’s College later in the year; the exact date will be communicated shortly. He will be joined by his wife Tara, a junior school teacher, and two sons, Jack (16 years) and Rory (12 years). We look forward to welcoming Marcus and his family to the Saints community.

Ben Hanisch will leave Saints at the end of Term 2 and details about his farewell will be communicated in due course.
