In Year 6, we started the term looking at Cartesian planes. As we worked through the unit, students started thinking about different ways that we could use a Cartesian plane in the real world. We looked at comparing two aspects of a given topic, such as a person’s preference for using emojis in digital communication.

Towards the end of the unit, some boys from 6E were tasked with mapping out an outdoor Cartesian plane and were to plot out a coordinate for each student in the class to stand on. This activity consolidated the knowledge and skills that the boys had been developing throughout.

Once the big day came to map it out, the team from the Senior School brought a drone to photograph the result of the boys’ hard work.

Well done to the boys on a terrific shot.
