On Friday 12 June, eleven students from Years 7 to 11, representing both the Second Language and Background Speaker Chinese programs, participated in the 4th SA OZCHIN Quiz Bowl, organised by the Chinese Language Teachers’ Association of South Australia. The competition provided an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their Chinese language proficiency, literary knowledge and understanding of Chinese culture.
The event brought together students from seven other schools across South Australia, creating a diverse and highly competitive environment. The competition began with a series of language-focused questions covering Chinese grammar and vocabulary, where our students demonstrated impressive knowledge, confidence, and commitment. This was followed by an interactive Kahoot quiz on Chinese culture, requiring teams to collaborate in answering questions about Chinese traditions, history and cultural practices.
