The Junior School recently celebrated its Junior Primary Sports Day on a beautiful spring morning on Palm House Oval. The focus of the day was on participation, giving your best effort, showing good sportsmanship, and—most importantly—having fun!
Prep to Year 2 students had been working hard in their PE lessons and SEA activities, developing new skills in preparation for this exciting event. These specialised PE sessions play a vital role in building fundamental movement skills and confidence, fostering a lifelong positive attitude towards physical activity and play. Going on the commitment of the boys to the activities these sessions have been an outstanding success.
Throughout the morning, students participated in a range of activities, including sprints, relay races, obstacle courses, throwing events and high jumping. The atmosphere was full of energy, encouragement, and smiles as boys supported one another and celebrated every effort and achievement.
A special thank you goes to our Year 6 Junior School leaders—including the House Captains, Sports Captain, Junior School Captain and Vice-Captain—who played an essential role in helping the day run smoothly.
Their leadership, enthusiasm, and teamwork were on full display and greatly contributed to the success of the event. It was a truly enjoyable morning for all involved—students, staff, and parents alike—and a wonderful celebration of community, effort and fun.
