On Friday 31 August, boys in the Junior School celebrated their love of reading at the annual Read Around with Dad morning. Thank you to the significant number of fathers who joined us in the library for coffee and danishes before finding a quiet place to share a book together with their son/s.
With over 200 dads, grandparents and special friends in attendance, the Junior School Library was a busy hub of activity as book choices were made and prime reading locations found. Smiles, whispers and laughter could be seen and heard in classrooms, corridors and around the Junior School as boys from the Early Learning Centre to Year 6 shared stories with their fathers to celebrate reading and Father’s Day.
A precious time together that is often difficult to find in our busy lives!! Many thanks to all the dads who were able to attend.
