Last Monday we buddied up Junior School classes for the 2025 Reading Launch during the final lesson of the day. Picture books were read together as new friendships were formed.
The Junior School Library Captain, Alexander Willis, reflected on the afternoon: “I had an amazing time reading to younger students to help empower their knowledge of spelling and academic learning, yet this experience was fun for both me and my younger reading buddy from 3B. We read books such as Dave’s rock.
The reading launch also helped foster a passion for reading like myself. Overall, I thought the reading launch was an incredible idea to spark more reading across the School, to empower our younger peers’ minds.”
