We were thrilled to host the RoboCup Junior State Competition. This project-oriented educational initiative introduces students of all ages to robotics and STEM skills while encouraging innovation, teamwork, cooperation, and social development. The scenario of sending an intelligent robot into an area where a disaster has happened reflects real life situations and opportunities for problem solving in both coding and engineering.
We welcomed 400 students from 13 schools across South Australia, including 82 SPSC students from Years 4 to 10, who showcased their skills in four different events: Rescue Line, OnStage, Sumo, and Soccer.
The display of coding, engineering, and collaborative effort was exceptional. Thank you to all the participating schools and teams for their fantastic efforts and team spirit.
Congratulations to our SPSC students who excelled in the following categories:
Open Line Rescue: 1st place – Charles Nguyen and Brayden Xu (Year 9); 2nd place – Seb Zarei (Year 5)
Secondary Line Rescue: 1st place – Bryan Wu and Nazir Rana (Year 7); 2nd place – Felix Siow (Year 7), Kelvin Huan (Year 7), and Anzhi Liao (Year 8); 3rd place – Sabiq Haque (Year 9)
