Rostrum Voice of Youth Public Speaking State Finals

On Saturday 22 June, Year 8 student, Ethan Tran, represented St Peter’s College in Old Parliament House for the State Finals of Rostrum Voice of Youth’s Public Speaking Competition. The finals of the event brought eight students with an aptitude for public speaking across the state together to showcase their talents and passions.

Ethan competed against three other students in the Junior Division, from Years 7 to 9. Students presented a newly written prepared speech, as well as a short-notice speech in response to an unseen prompt on the day. Ethan spoke well on the topic “It Takes a Spark” in a highly competitive event. A student from St Ignatius College ultimately won the Junior Division.

We acknowledge Ethan’s phenomenal efforts and success and congratulate him for representing the School. Thank you to all students who participated in this year’s competition.
