On Saturday 25 May, Year 8 students, Ethan Tran and Navinder Takhar, representing St Peter’s College at the Rostrum Voice of Youth’s semi-finals. The event brought students with a skill for public speaking across the state together to showcase their talents and passions.
Students presented their prepared speeches, as per heat requirements, as well as a short-notice speech in response to an unseen prompt on the day. Both students spoke exceptionally well in the highly competitive event.
A special congratulations to Ethan Tran who qualified for the state finals, taking place in Old Parliament House on the 22nd of June. I wish Ethan all the best in the event and thank all participants for their involvement in this year’s competition.
