Rostrum Voice of Youth is a national speaking competition which provides an excellent opportunity for secondary school students to gain experience and confidence in expressing their views and communicating a message. The 2023 Heats were held on Saturday 13 May.

Our School representatives included Advaith Abilash (Year 8), Ethan Chen (Year 7), Ben McCorley (Year 8) and Ethan Tran (Year 9) competing in the Junior division, as well as Jack Pillay (Year 10) and Alexis Prakash (Year 10) in the Senior division. Contestants presented both a prepared speech and an impromptu short-notice speech. Our students presented on a broad range of topics including “Opportunity Knocks”, “A Gift that Keeps Giving” and “Voice for the Voiceless”.

Congratulations to all contestants on their participation, effort, and success in the competition.

Great work boys!
