SPSC Junior School shone at the 2025 SA Chinese Language Awards Night
Last Friday evening, our School community proudly celebrated outstanding achievements at the 2025 SA Chinese Language Awards Night, held at the University of South Australia, with participation from both junior and senior schools currently offering Chinese as a second language in South Australia.
We are delighted to congratulate our three Year 6 boys who were nominated for the Outstanding Language Learner Award. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to learning Chinese throughout their time in the Junior School have been truly inspiring. The Chinese Language Awards recognises students across three categories, and we are proud to share the following results:
Year 6 Aaryan Pandey – Winner of the Second Language Learners of Chinese category (Junior School).
Year 6 William Fon – Winner of the Background Language Learners of Chinese category (Junior School).
Year 6 Sean Zhang – Winner of the First Language Learners of Chinese category (Junior School).
In addition, our students achieved remarkable success in the 2025 SA Chinese Video Competition. Out of 23 entries submitted by our Junior School, 14 were awarded top-three places in their categories, with 16 boys featuring across these winning videos.

• Year 6 – Matthew Leung, 《中国的伟大发明》
• Year 6 – Aaryan Pandey, Great Inventions of China
• Year 6 – Rishi Rachakonda, Great Chinese Inventions
This is an outstanding achievement that highlights both the creativity and passion of our students. We are extremely proud of all the boys for their effort, persistence, and courage in sharing their Chinese learning with the wider community.
