Six schools participated in the second SA Computational and Linguistics Olympiad (SACLO) held at PAC on Friday 17 June over a two-hour period. There were 124 students battling it out for a trophy in the junior and senior rounds.

SPSC fielded two junior teams named “Dual Key Detectives” and “Translation Congregation.” They were tasked with understanding and translating three languages, one of which was Yoda speak! Effective teamwork and communication skills are a must for success in this competition. Our boys worked with determination and application to solve these puzzles. Congratulations boys on your efforts and we await the outcome of the Olympiad in the coming weeks.

In March 2023 we will be entering OZCLO, the national competition! Anyone in Years 7 to 12 who enjoys cracking codes and problem solving is invited to come along on a Wednesday lunchtime in GOR-LF05.
