Each May, the South Australian History Festival invites the public to discover the stories, buildings and moments that have shaped our state. We were proud to once again take part by hosting a tour of our School’s Historic Precinct.
This was our second year participating in the Festival and the event was fully booked once more, with over 70 guests joining us to explore the heritage buildings at the heart of the School. Many had discovered family links to St Peter’s College through genealogy research, while others had visited for sport and other events over the years and were curious to learn more about the grounds and buildings they remembered walking past.
A highlight of the day was the contribution of our student Historical Society. Members from Years 7 to 12 were stationed along the tour route, sharing what they’d learned with confidence and genuine interest. Many attendees took the time to compliment the students’ presentation and the pride they showed in their school’s history.
