The Junior School French learners once again participated in the Poetry Competition organised by the South Australian French Teachers’ Association (SAFTA) “ Le Grand Concours de la Poésie Récitée”.

Set poems were chosen by SAFTA in the following categories, Reception, Years 1 and 2, Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6.

The French students worked very hard to master their poems and it was very difficult to choose the final few boys to represent St Peters’ College in 2022.

The boys’ diligence and enthusiasm were rewarded. Our students were very successful this year.

Congratulations to Noah Nuthall RB, Reception category 1st place, Kaeshav Rajasekaran 3M and Jayden Chen 3S, Year 3 and 4 category joint 1st place, Andrew Lucas, Nicholas Savvouidis, Philip Makooh Year 5/6 Group category 1st place, and Jonathan Jiao 2L 2nd prize, Year 1 and 2 category.

These students were invited to recite their poems at the annual SAFTA/ Alliance Française Prize Giving Evening which was held in Memorial Hall on Wednesday 26 October.

“Félicitations et Bravo!” Congratulations and Well done!.
