The Saints Golf Day just gets hotter and hotter with this year the temperature reaching a scorching 41° after last year’s 39°. However, out on the beautifully kept fairways and greens of the Royal Adelaide golf club, the playing conditions were pleasant. The Royal Adelaide Golf Club was groomed and in immaculate condition for our yearly Saints Community Golf Day.

A superb luncheon was enjoyed post round in the suitably air conditioned clubhouse where the Headmaster, Tim Browning provided an update with school news after prizes had been presented for our winners and closest to the pins and longest drives.

Congratulations to our winners.

Official handicappers:
1st Matt Parker, 39 Stableford points, handicap 9
2nd Ben Goldsmith (HWD ’90), 37 Stableford points, handicap 23
3rd Jonny Silcock (YNG ’81), 37 Stableford points, handicap 11

Unofficial handicappers:
1st Seb Packer (FRR ’91), 41 Stableford points, handicap 27
2nd Mark Potter (HWD ’88), 30 Stableford points, handicap 36
3rd Mark Harkins, 28 Stableford points, handicap 30

Special mention must go to our first ever female participants, Kirby Crawford and Emma Manifold who are both current mothers of boys attending the school. We would strongly encourage more ladies to play because the Saints Golf Day is open to the entire school community past and present.

Thank you to Dean Hewitson of Hewitson Wines for sponsoring the golf day and providing the excellent wines for prizes.

Please remember the Saints Golf Day is open to the entire Saints community (current parents, past parents, potential parents, old scholars etc. etc.) and is designed as a fun and casual school community get together over a round of golf followed by lunch.

To be able to play a round of golf at Royal Adelaide, hear an update from the Headmaster and enjoy a delicious sit-down luncheon for only $110 is an absolute bargain! Next year’s event will be held on Friday 28th February 2020. Please mark this date in your diaries.
