The AFL State SAPSASA Carnival, proudly run by School Sport SA, recently brough together 720 student athletes from 40 SAPSASA districts across South Australia. Held at Barratt Reserve, West Beach, over three action-packed days, the carnival focuses on developing students’ skills and encouraging learning through sport in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Congratulations to our SPSC Junior boys who represent North Adelaide which competed in a round-robin format, providing all players the opportunity to participate, improve, and represent their districts with pride. Competing in games against Metropolitan and Regional regions such as City South and country areas such as Torrens River, Riverland and the Lower Southeast the SPSC Junior boys enjoyed amazing technical, tactical, physical and mental football challenges supporting their long-term football development.
Although conditions improved later, the first day saw the competition representatives play in gale-force winds and torrential rain squalls. However, our SPSC boys did not notice the environmental challenges and played with typical endeavour, skill and spirit. It was also great fun, played in great spirit, cementing long term friendships and memories. Our boys performed particularly well.
