During the second week of holidays, our Open A and Open B Basketball squads travelled to Sydney for a pre-season carnival hosted by Sydney Church of England Grammar School (Shore).
Across the tournament, the teams faced competition from Shore School, Newington College, St Augustine’s College and the Sydney Comets. Both squads gave it their all, with plenty of competitive matchups and valuable court time ahead of the season.
Unfortunately, Shore were too strong this year, reclaiming the Shore Trophy 60-46. The Open A team fought hard, but Shore, at the end of their season, had the edge.
Well done to all players for their commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tour, and thank you to the staff who supported them on the trip. We’re looking forward to the season ahead!
