Whilst many of us do not like the cold weather in Adelaide, the alpine villages in Victoria are loving it, as are our school families who are heading to the mountains during the holiday period.
St Peter’s College has a history of fielding teams of enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders for the South Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships in Falls Creek, Victoria. The race is a brilliant way of offering a safe, inclusive and supported experience to snowsports participants, whether they are advanced or even if they are enjoying their first ever snow experience and are beginners.
This race offers the opportunity for all school aged South Australians to get involved and represent their school, starting with Reception aged children and carrying through to Year 12. Experiences are offered in Giant Slalom and Ski and Board Cross disciplines.
If you are going to be in Falls Creek on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 July and keen to find out more, please make contact with Mr David de Lacy (Secondary Physical Education Teacher) via email at ddelacy@stpeters.sa.edu.au.
