Celebrating sport, teamwork and skill development, the recent Football (Soccer) State SAPSASA Carnival, proudly coordinated by School Sport SA, brought together talented student-athletes from 40 SAPSASA districts across South Australia. Held at the Home of Football in Gepps Cross over three action-packed days, the carnival provided a fantastic platform for skill development, sportsmanship and inclusive participation.
We’re incredibly proud of Liam Baraundi and Jack Albanese, who were key players in the North Adelaide SAPSASA Soccer Team that went undefeated to become Division 2 Champions! Representing our School with pride and passion, Jack scored an impressive six goals, while Liam contributed two goals across their seven unbeaten matches — an outstanding effort from both boys.
Well done, Jack and Liam — what a fantastic achievement! Throughout the carnival, our Junior Boys competed against teams from both metropolitan and regional areas, facing a wide range of technical, tactical, physical, and mental challenges.
These experiences greatly supported their long-term football development. Beyond the competition, the carnival was played in great spirit — filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories. The teamwork and camaraderie on display were a joy to witness, and our boys should be especially proud of their efforts and conduct.
