Congratulations to the follow students and teams for your outstanding achievements in the following sports:
Diving
Congratulations to Dakota Gordon (Year 11) who competed on behalf of the School in the Sport Diving Championships. Dakota won both the springboard and the sychronised events.
Sailing
The School Teams Sailing State Championships consisted of 16 teams competing over three days of racing at Goolwa during the recent school holidays. After 21 rounds of racing Saints 1 finished in 1st place five wins clear of 2nd place, and Saints 2 finished in 8th place just narrowly missing out on the finals. Saints 1 went into the finals as favourites having only lost two races over the whole regatta. The boys decided to make it a little harder for themselves by being defeated in their first final against Westminster. Thankfully, they did get a second chance and they went on to win their next two races and got themselves back into the grand final – a rematch against Westminster. This time Saints defeated Westminster two wins to zero in a best of three to win the State Championships for the first time ever. This championship win also means qualification into the National Championships to be held in Sydney in July. Congratulations to the following teams:
Saints 1:

Ian Irwin | Jackson Li |
Sam Steele | David Taylor |
Saints 2:

Athletics Nationals
The hard work of the St Peter’s College Athletics Squad paid off this season with multiple students qualifying for the 2021 Australian Track and Field Championships. Of the students that qualified, Adam Goddard (U20 1500 and 3000 m), Jonathan Harris (U17 800 and 1500m), Ian Irwin (U17 100m) and Stephen Lacroix-Sneyd (U15 400 and 800m) travelled to Sydney during the Term 1 School Holidays to participate in the competition. All students gave it their all in a tough competition composed of heats followed by finals.
Jonathan Harris should be commended for making the finals and achieving personal best times in both of his very competitive events. Adam Goddard should also be commended for making the finals in both of his events, taking the bronze in the Men’s U20 1500 m and the silver in the Men’s U20 3000 m (an 8:19.15 PB).
