St Peter’s College wins SSSSA A Grade Division 1 for the 5th time.

Competitions such as these, challenge school communities. Collegiality and willingness to serve are qualities at the forefront of success. 10 points are on offer for each first placing, descending points for placings from there. With 60 events completed, 0.5 of a point separated first from second. You can picture the cost of a missed event or a point scoring opportunity.

This Championship is a keenly contested one, open to all secondary schools in our state. With six grades programmed across six days, two divisions of competition in each of these grades, it is common to have 8-10 schools contesting each division. Within each, there is a promotion and relegation system in place. For 2024, across the 12 divisions, 104 Schools competed. The final placings for Division 1 were as follows:

1          St Peter’s College – 417.5
2          Trinity College – 417
3          Mercedes College – 347.5
4          Temple Christian College – 329
5          Henley High School – 321
6          Immanuel College  – 319.5
7          Loxton High School –  272.5
8          Brighton High School – 263
